2021
December 2nd, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
This is our annual holiday get-together. We join for appetizers and desserts with hot drinks available. Please see the google doc to let us know what you will be bringing to avoid too much duplication: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1QA6YAILo0vrhQ5126V0DTtrbAOH0verRzgDXRt2x2WE/edit?usp=sharing
There is also an opportunity for an optional gift exchange. Bring a gift, get a gift. The rule is the gift should be about $25, no more, and wrapped. The gifts will be chosen by drawing numbers. In the number order, each person will select a gift but WILL NOT OPEN it. If by chance, the last person is left with the gift they brought, they will swap with one person. After the gifts have been distributed they will then be opened.
I hope all can come and join in the seasonal fun! Ho Ho Ho!!!
November 4th, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
This month we have a visit from Tamarack Farms and Lazy O Ranch for a convenient shopping experience. Each will give a short talk about their operation before the fun begins. Explore your stash to see what you might just have to have to spruce it up! Temptation awaits!
October 7th, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
October is the month to examine your knitting tools to get ready for the Fall/Winter knitting season. To help get in the spirit Cynthia Spencer will present on the topic of equipment:
Do you love tools that make your knitting life easier? This month, Cynthia Spencer will give you a peek into her personal tool pouch, showing you all the tools she carries–and most important, actually uses! Join us for an amusing discussion of the pluses and minuses of different tools. Bring some of your own favorites to show off as well! At the end of the meeting, Cynthia will have a selection of tools that you may try or buy!
Also at the October meeting we will be giving away 2 door prizes. Please join us to check out the knitting tools and have a chance to win a nice door prize!
As always, bring your WIPs and FOs to claim some acclaim! We always have time for knitting!
September 2, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
Something corrupted this post…
Bring your WIPs as well to be admired and plan to get some knitting accomplished.
August 5, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
We meet as a group to celebrate long thread works with needles. This month please bring your favorite book (about fiber works) to share why it’s your favorite. Please make it only ONE book–the best! We will discuss…
As we are able to meet as a larger and larger group, our programs are coming along. We have ideas in store for the future as Kate Torres takes on, once again, her role as ringmaster. She has been busy! We are open to new programs–let us know what you are interested in learning or exploring. There is new zest in the air!
As usual, bring your Works-in-Progress and your pointy sticks and any Finished Object so we all can applaud!
July 1, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
Join the burgeoning group as we try on the new President and Vice President for size! We can take care of the business of voting in the new VP and see what is in store! We are still working on being in public all alone without supervision so programming will be scant. Bring your works in progress. If you are coming back out into the wide open for the first time, bring your entire opus of ‘Rona finished projects (or at least two!) to share the trials of pandemic separation. We cheer all progress!
June 3, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
Join us! There should be some emails going around beforehand in order to nominate and elect a new President. Chelsey has served well for quite some time and it’s now time for another to take the reins. Chelsey will have sent around a list of duties of the office of the president. Search your soul to see if you, yes, YOU, could find yourself serving the Guild in this fashion. We will all be grateful, oh New Leader! Our current Secretary, Madam Hannah Black has graciously agreed to serve on. Thank you, Hannah! So this meeting will be a surprise, but not an onerous one!
Meanwhile bring any WIPs, something to work with your pointy sticks, and some conversation and let’s see what happens next!!!
May 6, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
We’ll be back at Patton Township, large meeting room–our place–for this meeting. Since we have been staying apart there hasn’t been a good opportunity to both nominate as well as elect a new Secretary and President. This meeting won’t have the opportunity either. (We will need to do this over the etherwaves for the next meeting in June–so relax!) This month we will knit and share progress and keep up with the news of the guild.
April 1, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 Meeting CANCELED!!!
NO FOOLIN’! The Patton Township meeting room has been designated as a Covid Testing Site. Our meeting has been canceled for April. Back in May!!! (As a note, you can be tested for Covid for free from 10 AM until 7 PM Tuesday through Saturday, until May 1.)
This is the meeting during which we nominate for the positions of President and Secretary for our Guild. Please search your soul and comprehend that you can serve the Guild in one of these positions–You CAN! Please consider!!! We can rebuild out of the pandemic and find new purpose and programs.
Bring your current works on the needles, pointy sticks, and some conversation to share. We will celebrate IN-PERSON once again! Masks and distancing is still required, but it won’t be forever–that’s what vaccines are for!
March 4th, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
YES! We will meet at the township building. We look pretty good in 3-D. Come and see!
February 4th, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
We are back in the game at our usual scheme of meetings. Our VP Ruth Christensen will be leading. There is no set program since many members will not be present due to the virus situation. Those who do come will have 3-D interactions with others with needles in hand. Good lighting, good company, good knitting!
January 7th, 2021_Patton Township Building_6:30 – 8:30 PM
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL!!! It’s the start of a new year and let’s make sure it’s a good one! Our first Guild meeting of the year will be Thursday Jan 7 at 7pm at the Patton Twp building meeting room with social hour at 6:30pm.
If anyone wants to bring any yarn/fiber/notions/etc to give away or sell this would be a good meeting to do that. Bring your Holiday money and possibly get some new things!
Don’t forget to wear your mask and there’s plenty of space to be physically distant in the room. Hope to see you there!!
