Thanks to ALL who participated in 2017 For the Love of Fiber.  With a very nice turnout of vendors and onlookers, we had a lovely crowd for the day.  (There was even a couple from Allentown on a day jaunt!)  The Weavers, Spinners, Embroiderers were there in force with interested crowds throughout the day.  They had marvelous displays and were able to interest many in their craft for the future.
Our thanks go to all who participated in the long early preparations and who volunteered in advance of this event.  With the setup beginning on Friday with tables, chairs, signs, taping of spaces, maintaining registrations for classes, classroom prep and Tom Horne who hosted our presence and put up a textile stamp display; and then the early prep on Saturday to apply the finishing touches to the welcome and ticket tables, sign in sheets, donation jars, more signs, merchants, and Guild displays, all engaged to put on a great show. Throughout the day many leaped in to help coordinate the crowds.
Many, many thanks to all who showed up to partake and those who volunteered so helpfully during the day.  And to the teachers who spent so much time preparing and presenting their skills; as well as the generous donors of basket materials, the wearers of finery, chatters of strangers, sharers of knowledge, and lovers of fiber.  The buyers and sellers and bidders on marvelously arrayed baskets and fleeces all joined in a fabulous welcoming combination to produce the energized day of fiber fellowship.
There will be more kudos over the next several days, but I didn’t want to let another moment go by without acknowledging the generous cooperation provided by all Guild members and demonstrators to accomplish another Love of Fiber Event.  A group hug hardly covers it, but it sure was a fun experience!
Thank you ALL for promoting our success!
Your faithful secretary,
Susan M
